2011 Cultural Calendar Now Available
The Clarksville/Montgomery County Arts and Heritage Development Council has produced a 2011 cultural calendar, featuring works by local artists, dates of historical interest to city residents and activities planned for the community in the coming year.
At $5 each, the calendars make great stocking stuffers or holiday gifts for friends and co-workers.
This year’s calendar offers art from and about Clarksville and Montgomery County. Artwork in the desk calendar points to the diversity of the local arts community by showcasing pieces in watercolor, colored pencils and photography.
Artists whose works are featured in this publication are Lynne Griffey, Susan Bryant, Heather Bro Moroschak, Grant Schryver, Gabriele Wardeiner, Cliff Whittaker, Jim Hancock, Beverly Parker, Curtis Davis, Greg Williamson and Paula Edwards.
The Clarksville/Montgomery County AHDC promotes the city’s art community and historical heritage through sponsoring help with grants, an annual writers’ conference, a historical tour of homes, local art exhibits, and literary and musical performances.
The calendar was printed by Jostens Printing and Publishing.
It is currently on sale at Seasons, the gift shop for Customs House Museum and Cultural Center. Seasons is open to the public; there is no admission charge for the shop.
