Enjoy a delicious meal and honor Clarksville’s storytellers at our Authors Banquet with Sharon Mabry this August!
The Clarksville Arts & Heritage Council will host a dinner in F&M Bank’s Franklin Room (50 Franklin Street, Clarksville) on Thursday, August 13, at 6pm to celebrate Clarksville’s authors. The city’s rich heritage at the forefront of the Southern Literary Renaissance with authors such as Robert Penn Warren, Caroline Gordon and Alan Tate continues today with award-winning poets, novelists, and non-fiction writers.
Featuring keynote speaker Sharon Mabry — award-winning mezzo-soprano soloist and author of the humorous memoir The Blue Box and Memories that Live in the Bones and the mystery novel The Postmaster’s Daughter — this dinner will recognize Clarksville’s current literary lights.
Tickets are $75 for Clarksville Arts & Heritage Council members and $80 for non-members. The reservation deadline is July 30.
