Come and capture Clarksville's charm at the 2Rivers Paint-Out from Thursday, October 10, to Sunday, October 13, 2024.
Founded in 1785 at the confluence of the Cumberland and Red Rivers, Clarksville was Middle Tennessee's second incorporated city, after Nashville. Although the state's fifth largest city, Clarksville has maintained its small-town charm and friendly atmosphere.
This fall, 2Rivers will host a triple-crown paint-out at a restored prairie (Thursday, October 10), in Clarksville's historic downtown (Friday, October 11) and at Historic Collinsville as a part of the Create at Collinsville weekend celebration of traditional Tennessee arts (Saturday, October 12). The Paint-Out will culminate with a free, public afternoon exhibit, sale and reception in the Customs House Museum (Sunday, October 13).
Showcase your work while helping to share the magic, beauty, and wonder of the South's prairieland, Historic Collinsville and one of Tennessee's oldest cities. Experienced and beginning plein air painters alike are encouraged to set up their paints and easels to capture the buildings, plants and animals, landscapes, and people enjoying a crisp autumn day in Montgomery County.
Three top prizes and honorable mentions will be awarded in an exhibition and art sale at the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center on the final afternoon of the event.
We hope you will join us as a participant in this year's event. For more information, please check out the complete 2Rivers Paint-Out Prospectus. Deadline for registration is Monday, October 7, 2024. This event will be held rain or shine. Sheltered areas are available.
