Come and capture Clarksville’s charm at the 2Rivers Paint-Out on Friday and Saturday, October 21 and 22, 2016.
Founded in 1785 at the confluence of the Cumberland and Red Rivers, Clarksville was Middle Tennessee’s second incorporated city, after Nashville. Although the state’s fifth largest city, Clarksville has maintained its small-town charm and friendly atmosphere.
This fall, adult artists will have the opportunity to capture beautiful Clarksville, Tennessee’s most unique and scenic features in Plein Air paintings as part of the third annual 2Rivers Paint-Out on Friday and Saturday, October 21 and 22. Three top prizes and three honorable mentions will be awarded in an exhibition and art sale on the final evening of the event.
From Clarksville’s natural vistas — including the Riverwalk, Dunbar Cave State Park, Upland Trail Greenway and Rotary Park — to its cultural and historical landmarks — such as the Customs House Museum, Roxy Regional Theatre, Fort Defiance, L&N Train Station and area churches — the city offers a wealth of inspiration.
We hope you will join us as a participant in this year’s event. For more information, please visit 2Rivers Paint-Out website at www.artsandheritage.us/paintout. Deadline for registration is Friday, October 14, 2016. This event will be held rain or shine, and covered areas are available.
